Lions Tour & Fieldays
Heading away for a rugby tour or need a place to stay during Fieldays? Finding accommodation in the Waikato region can be tricky, especially when there is a big event on like the Lions Tour. Add in a massive rural event like Fieldays and finding a great place to stay can be a nightmare.
Rest assured that here at Pedlars Motel we can accommodate your needs – it is the main part of our business after all!
If you are travelling for the tour and haven’t got your accommodation for the Hamilton game versus the Chiefs then you may be out of luck. However, an easy hours drive away is Pedlars Motel in Paeroa – right at the gateway to the Hauraki Rail Trail and the Kaimai Ranges.
Watch the rugby at Waikato Stadium on June 20th and then spend the weekend on the Hauraki Rail Trail before heading back up to Auckland for the first test against the All Blacks on June 24th at Eden Park.
The Hauraki Rail Trail is a gentle ride through some amazing natural scenery and it also takes in the historic mining sites in the Karangahake Gorge too. It takes three days to enjoy it all so having a place to stay nearby, like Pedlars Motel, is an ideal way to fill in the time between games – and take in one of New Zealand’s most popular cycle trails at the same time.
If the rugby isn’t your draw card for travelling, then perhaps the National Fieldays at Mystery Creek is. Fieldays is yet another major event that sees Hamilton accommodation truly stretched making finding a place to stay a major headache. Again, Pedlars Motel has you covered. In just under an hour you will be at the Fieldays site and you wont have to compete with the thousands of other visitors for accommodation in Hamilton.
We find that if you are travelling from the country into the city of Hamilton, you can avoid all the hustle, bustle and noise and enjoy the comfort of rural Paeroa – it feels just like home!
So if it’s rugby or rural interest that gets you travelling,
check out our accommodation page
and you will able to see for yourself the quality and comfort that we offer all of our guests in our 12 deluxe and well-appointed Studio Units, including 2 accessible units and 2 Superior equipped Family Units.
