Paeroa—Thames (33Km)
With panoramic views of the towering bush clad Coromandel Ranges, the trail meanders through lush green farm pastures. Pass through the small village settlements of Hikutaia, Puriri and Matatoki. You can stop for refreshments and an ice-cream at Hikutaia, and a stop at the Matatoki Cheesebarn is a must, see the cheese makers in progress, and have a lovely lunch at their cafe. The trail links up with the Waihou River, and you can meander alongside the Waihou River through to Thames.
